시적 청량감에 휩싸인 자연
우리 주변의 일상적 풍경이 주는 정겨움 혹은 교요함 속에 들어 있는 아늑한 풍정의 세계를 독특한 질감 속에 드러내 고 있는 것이 노태웅의 작업이다.
그는 기왕의 풍경을 사실적 재현적으로 담아내려는 욕구 만으로 대상을 해석하고 반영하는 데서 벗어나, 자연에서 느 낄 수 있는 시적 청량감과 포근한 감정의 켜를 떠올려 준다. 정적이 감도는 분위기에서 둘러싸인 삶의 흔적 또는 관조의 대 상들에 주목하고 있는 그는 소박한 소재를 차분하고 절제된 색감, 그러면서도 정제된 모래위에 얹혀진 물감을 통해, 또한 두툼한 마티에르를 통해 화사한 분위기로 그려내고 있다.
그 화면은 실제의 세계인 동시에 그것을 벗어나 전혀 다른 차원에서 대상을 접하게 하는 시각의 전환을 야기시켜주고 있다.

Nature Wrapped in Poetic Refreshness
Rho, Tae-woong is trying to betray a snug mood, which is latent in the warmth or tranquility of ordinary landscape, through an unique mati re.
Freeing himself from the desire to dipict nature in a representational manner, he reminds us of the poetic refreshness and warm esprit which we find in nature. Rho pays attent to the vestige of life and object of contemplation which are wrapped in silence. And yet he converts those naive subject into splendid scenes by placid and restrained col- or and thick matière made of sand.
Those scenes represent the actual world, but at the same time they are free of the appearance of nature providing another dimension in experiencing world.
